Quick overview of 'once saved always saved', or OSAS
The once saved always saved issue is great among Christianity today. Other names for it are 'eternal security' and 'perseverance of the saints'. Though it goes by different names, once-saved-always-saved is essentially the theory behind it all. It is the idea that once you have had a true moment of faith, you can never be lost again.
Once-saved-always-saved is also known as OSAS, a good abbreviation. Throughout this website, it will be alternated with 'perseverance of the saints' and 'eternal security' as well.
While 'perseverance of the saints' is strictly a Calvinistic doctrine and 'eternal security' is strictly a Baptist doctrine, both are rejected by Arminians. All Arminians believe somewhat differently, but the core belief is that you are very able to lose your salvation and that you are not 'once saved always saved' or eternally secure if you reject Christ -- even after you have had a true moment of saving faith.
The goal of this website is to prove that those who persevere are eternally secure. We will not give an exact line where someone becomes 'unsaved' or loses their position in Heaven because I'm not sure we know exactly what it is. But there are consequences for sin, and those consequences are grave.
